Cherubs is a parent and toddler group organised by the church, but run independently by local parents. It meets on Friday mornings during the normal school term from 9:30am to 11:15am. A small craft activity is provided together with lots of toys, role play activities, puzzles and play dough. We also have a dedicated baby area with soft mats and appropriately aged toys. The group finishes with a singing session. There is a small admission charge to cover costs of the activities. No need to book, all welcome.

Quarterjack Quilters

Quarterjack Quilters is a Group of 47 friendly ladies who share a love and knowledge of patchwork and quilting.  We meet every second and fourth Friday of the month with a varied programme of demonstrations, workshops and speakers. Throughout the year we have various trips to quilting events and always enjoy a good Christmas Party.   We also hold a biennial Exhibition, giving the public a chance to see the lovely and varied work done by Members.  We recently celebrated our Pearl Anniversary with a nostalgic evening which concluded that, more than anything, our Members have benefited from the friendships developed throughout that time.

Art Groups

Art Groups meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.   If you think you might like to become involved, please come along and speak to one of the organisers

East Dorset Buddhist Group

The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. The meeting begins with a 30 minute period of sitting meditation which is preceded and concluded by some brief chanting. For those new to meditation there is the possibility of basic instruction. The group then usually reads a Buddhist publication which is discussed informally, or occasionally a tape by a Buddhist teacher is listened to and then discussed. Meetings may end with a further short period of meditation. No experience is necessary to attend meetings and anyone interest will be made welcome.

Other Groups

Other groups using the Church Centre include U3A Tai Chi, "Not Just Pilates", U3A groups, Slimming World and Quarterjack Quilters. We will be adding details of these groups as we have them.
