How do I become involved at St Michael's Church?
Simply come along to one of our services, there is no need to make any prior arrangement! We recognise that coming to anywhere unfamiliar can be a bit daunting but we believe that you will find a warm and helpful welcome here. We look forward to seeing you!
What are St Michael's Service times?
Our services are at 8am and 9.30am every Sunday.
Morning Prayer is said everyday from Tuesday to Friday at 8am.
There is a mid-week Eucharist at 10.30am on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
The Church itself is available to visit every morning between 10am and 12noon, and at any other time by arrangement with the clergy or the churchwardens.
How do I join one of the organisations?
We are always pleased when someone would like to join one of the several organisations.

What if I am planning a wedding or any other function?
You should find all the details you need on the relevant page under the Services menu. This sets out the principal details associated with Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals, but please contact the clergy for any other information or guidance you may require.
How do I book the Church Centre and how much does it cost?
By phoning booking clerk whose details are on the contact page.
Prices vary according to purpose and can be discussed with the parish administrator.
How do I volunteer to help?
Step forward – one volunteer is worth……!!! Simply speak to either the clergy or one of the churchwardens.
Does St Michael's have crèche facilities?
We encourage families to worship together if at all possible.
At the 9.30am service on a Sunday, there is dedicated activies in the Children's Corner with a specail focus on the first Sunday of the month.
Does St Michael's have facilities for the disabled?
Basic provision is made for those in wheelchairs and we will be updating these facilities in the near future. An induction loop system is fitted in the Church and in the Church Centre – please speak to one of the churchwardens when you come to a service for the correct settings for any hearing aids. Larger print copies of the services can be provided for any who have sight problems.
What parking facilities are there at St Michael's?
There is a car park attached to the Church which is free. If that is full on a Sunday we also have use of the
car park of St Michael’s Middle School which is next door to the Church.
What if I can't find the information I am looking for on the website?
