Open to God
Worship and Prayer
- Regular Sunday worship – using creative approaches to both liturgy and music, including some special services at particular times, planned and led by both clergy and lay people
- Home Groups – several groups meet to explore the Christian faith together (contact the vicar for more details)
- Music in Worship – Our church has a long established choral tradition. The four part choir leads the singing of hymns, songs and anthems, accompanied by talented organists. The choir meets on Friday evenings at 19:15 to rehearse for Sunday services.
- Prayer – we have a prayer coordinator who manages the monthly prayer diary as well as a weekly intercessions list for those in need. Silent prayer is held on the first Thursday afternoon of each month
- Mothers’ Union Prayer and Fellowship Group – meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 14:30 in the Church Centre
- Saturday Craft Group – meets most weeks in the Church Centre, using their creative gifts to enhance our experience of worship and beautify our church building
- Parish Giving Scheme – our church costs ~£220/day to run and most of that is met by the generosity of our regular worshipping community. We encourage regular giving through the excellent Parish Giving Scheme, recommended by the Diocese.

Witness and Service
- Cherubs Toddler Group – run by parent helpers and church volunteers, meeting Friday mornings during term time at the Church Centre. We run ‘Toddler Church’ twice a term; chaos, but fun!
- Colehill Community Cafe – meets every Wednesday lunchtime apart from August, run by church and community volunteers. Cake and coffee is served from 11am & light lunch from 12 – 1.15pm. A valued place of hospitality and conversation for many. The food ain’t half good as well!
- School links – we enjoy close links with St Michael’s CE Middle School and Colehill and Hayeswood First Schools
- EcoChurch – we seek to be good stewards of the earth, and are working towards the EcoChurch Gold Award. Recent achievements include the installation of solar panels on the Church Centre roof and there are strong links with other community organisations working for creation care and sustainability
- Links with the wider church – we have a longstanding link with Sudan and South Sudan; the Sudan card group meets on the first Thursday morning of each month, upcycling greetings cards to sell to support the people of South Sudan
- Charities – we have longstanding commitments to support various charities local, national and international. These charities include Wimborne Foodbank, Wimborne Community Garden, Salisbury Women’s Refuge, Christian Aid and the Children’s Society
- Community, Social, Fundraising and Outreach – we have a rolling programme of varied community events which include both social and outreach activities. We even have a dedicated link to the site Give a Little which highlights some of the local charities we support. Whilst our Christmas fair is probably a particular favourite, we regularly hold other events throughout the year, such as parish lunches, BBQs, quiz nights etc., all of which yield vital funds contributing both to our running costs and external charities.
