Following the Star this Christmas 

Did you follow the star on our beautiful new pulpit frontal over our Advent and Christmas services? Hilary Gooding and her team of crafters cleverly produced us these five new pulpit fronts, inspired by the the Church of England campaign #FollowtheStar. Each week the star rose higher across the sky, shining brighter until the glory of Christmas Day.

The team also decorated the church with stars and candles and each week, more decorations were added along with the words from Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."  The week before Advent is called Christ the King and in this first week, a crown was hung above the altar.
