Getting married is one of the most important decisions we may make in life. A wedding marks a couple’s commitment to one another, begins a whole new chapter in their life together, and has an impact on your whole circle of family and friends.

Marrying in church is personal, meaningful, spiritual and beautiful, just as you want it to be. Those who wish to marry at St. Michael’s will normally be resident within the parish, or be able to show that they have a Qualifying Connection with the parish. The clergy are always pleased to be consulted with regard to marriage, and are happy to offer advice in individual cases, in particular those seeking re-marriage after divorce. To find out if you are legally entitled to get married here, have a look at the ‘Finding a church’ page on the ‘Your Church Wedding’ website. You can check if you live within the parish by entering your postcode. If not, you can check if you meet one of the other qualifying connections.

For many people, church just feels like the right place to get married. We can provide you with time and space to think about the promises you will be taking and the impact they will have on your lives.  So, if you would like to consider getting married at St Michael and All Angels Church, please contact  Revd. Suzanne Pattle if you wish to discuss further and we will be pleased to help you with your plans for this happy occasion.
